Root access achieved on Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphones

Cybersecurity experts have successfully breached the security of Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus models. It is now possible to gain root access and run Magisk on these devices powered by the Exynos 2600 processor. This was reported by Ixbt.com news states.

A video released by the DarkNavy team demonstrated the successful execution of this process. It is worth noting that the Galaxy S26 Ultra model is not included in this list, as it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 for Galaxy chip.

According to Android Authority, this is the first successful case on Exynos versions since Samsung removed the ability to unlock the bootloader in One UI 8. Experts managed to install the Magisk system by exploiting a vulnerability using a simple application.

For now, technical details of this vulnerability, including which firmware versions it affects and how it works, remain undisclosed. The company is expected to patch this security hole in future updates.
