Uber to open new technology centers in India

Uber has announced the opening of two new engineering campuses in India to expand its technological infrastructure. Scheduled to launch by the end of 2027 in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, these centers will have the capacity to accommodate up to 9,600 employees. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

The company also announced that it will build its first data center in India in partnership with Adani Group. The facility is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2026. These initiatives were announced during the visit of Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi to India.

Currently, Uber has about 3,500 employees in India and continues to hire technical specialists as investments in artificial intelligence (AI) increase. The company is looking for new talent in generative AI, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, and infrastructure.

India is becoming a key software hub for global technology companies. Although competition in the Indian market is high and regulatory rules are complex, Uber views the country as a strategic engineering base for its global operations.
