GeForce RTX 5090 price may rise again: an increase of up to $300 expected

NVIDIA has warned its partners about an increase in the cost of components for GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5090 D V2 graphics cards. The price hike is not due to the graphics chip, but rather the rising cost of GDDR7 memory modules, which are purchased by the company and supplied as part of the finished kit. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
According to sources from Board Channels Forums, the production cost of the graphics cards is expected to increase by approximately $300 or 2,000 yuan. Although NVIDIA has not officially changed the recommended retail prices for these models, these changes at the supply stage will inevitably affect prices at distributors and retail stores.
This price increase applies only to the flagship RTX 5090 and the RTX 5090 D V2 model intended for the Chinese market. As a reminder, the RTX 5090 model is equipped with 32 GB of GDDR7 memory and a 512-bit bus, while the Chinese version features 24 GB of memory and a 384-bit bus.
Chinese sources state that there is currently no news regarding a cost revision for other models in the GeForce RTX 50 series, including the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070.
