Chinese Technology: New 3D Memory Architecture with 30 TB/s Speed

China's Tsinghua Unigroup has introduced an innovative 3D Near-Memory Computing (PNM) architecture called Purple String. This technology is based on 3D DRAM and enables data transfer speeds of up to 30 terabytes per second (TB/s). According to Ixbt.com, reports .
For comparison, the HBM3e memory currently used by AMD and NVIDIA offers a speed of 1.2 TB/s, while the NVIDIA B200 GPU reaches a maximum of 8 TB/s. The new architecture offers significant advantages not only in speed but also in latency.
The Processing-Near-Memory mode significantly reduces data access time. Tsinghua Unigroup experts state that this technology is already mature and ready for mass production.
The most important aspect of the project is that it is based entirely on China's domestic supply chain. This frees the company from dependence on Western technologies and enables independent development.
