Migom biometric passage system launching at Pulkovo Airport

Starting June 1, 2026, a biometric priority passage system will be introduced at Pulkovo Airport in Saint Petersburg. The “Migom” service, developed in partnership with VTB Bank and the Center for Biometric Technologies, allows passengers to travel without documents. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
With the new system, passengers can complete check-in, enter domestic departure lounges, and board aircraft using only biometric data. Currently, the service is being tested on “Aeroflot Shuttle” flights between Saint Petersburg and Moscow.
VTB staff will assist with biometric data submission in Pulkovo check-in halls, a process taking about 10 minutes. Afterward, users must grant permission for biometric usage and link it to their ticket via their personal account on the Aeroflot website.
Forecasts suggest that by 2028, nearly 4 million people will use the biometric service at the airport. Leonid Sergeyev, CEO of Northern Capital Gateway LLC, noted that this is the first step toward creating a fully “barrier-free environment” for passengers.
Verified biometric data is equivalent to a passport and remains valid for 5 years. Data can be submitted at banks or multi-functional centers.
