Russia to enable account top-ups via any ATM

Starting October 1, a new feature of the Faster Payments System (SBP) will launch in Russia. Customers will now be able to top up their accounts using any bank's ATM. This innovation aims to further simplify interbank operations. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
Under the new system, funds are transferred immediately to the selected account, regardless of which ATM is used for the operation. This eliminates the need for users to search for their own bank's ATM and saves time.
At the same time, certain limits have been set for these operations. Specifically, the single transaction limit is set at 25,000 rubles, the daily limit at 50,000 rubles, and the total monthly limit at 200,000 rubles.
Furthermore, starting April 1, 2027, customers of systemically important banks (currently 12) will be able to receive cross-border transfers from individuals via SBP. This is a step aimed at further expanding the international money transfer system.
