The draft State Program for 2025 has been put up for public discussion in Uzbekistan. This program is aimed at accelerating the modernization of public transport by switching to environmentally friendly fuel. One of the main projects in the program is the development of a feasibility study (FS) for a new tram line in Tashkent city to expand tram routes and make them more convenient for the population.
Additionally, the program plans to renew the transport fleet of Tashkent city. This includes the purchase of 200 electric buses and the charging equipment intended for them. These measures will help reduce harmful emissions in the capital and improve the environmental situation.
Furthermore, FS will be developed for the purchase of electric buses and charging infrastructure for other major cities. Specifically, it is planned to purchase 50 electric buses for Nukus, 250 for Samarkand, and 50 for Namangan. A total of 350 electric buses are planned to be purchased under these projects. The FS allows determining optimal technical specifications and assessing economic efficiency for the projects.
Within the program, the trolleybus fleet on the Urgench-Khiva route will also be renewed. Ten new trolleybuses will be purchased on this route to make passenger transportation more comfortable. This program contributes to improving the quality of public transport and protecting the environment. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
