Andijan launches $6 billion worth of new projects
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the socio-economic development plans for the Andijan region for 2025, where 166 new investment projects worth a total of $5.7 billion (approximately 72.4 trillion UZS) are set to be launched, UPL.uz reported. These projects are expected to create 31,000 new jobs.

New enterprises will produce 31 types of goods that were previously not manufactured in the region, increasing export potential by $1.5 billion (about 19 trillion UZS). To ensure uninterrupted operation of new and existing enterprises, an additional 65 megawatts of energy capacity will be added.

The region’s economy is expected to grow by 5.5% in 2025. This year, one of the main goals is to ensure employment for 305,000 residents.

The President instructed responsible officials to implement the projects on time, create sustainable income sources for the population, and organize professional training programs for job seekers.
