Uzbekistan and Russia to expand cooperation on migration issues
Within the framework of the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan on regulating labor migration, a working group meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the relevant ministries and departments of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Migration Agency and the Russian Embassy.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of simplifying migration processes in the Tashkent branches of Russian universities, transferring medical examinations and Russian language exams to the territory of Uzbekistan. The issues of resuming the activities of the representative offices of the Passport-Visa Service State Unitary Enterprise and the Sakharova Multidisciplinary Migration Center in Moscow in Tashkent were also considered.

The parties also discussed projects to organize preparatory courses for studying the Russian language, Russian history and legislation, and to open a specialized medical clinic in Uzbekistan for conducting medical examinations and tests.

The Russian delegation confirmed its readiness to positively address the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan to reopen the representative office of the State Unitary Enterprise "Passport-Visa Service" in Tashkent.

It was agreed that representatives of the Ministry of Health and representatives of the "Sakharov" Multidisciplinary Migration Center in Tashkent would participate in the next meeting of the working group.

The proposal to include all the issues discussed in the agenda of the meeting of the Uzbek-Russian interdepartmental working group to be held in Moscow on April 27-30 was also supported.
