Korean firm to operate Urgench airport until 2047
South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Corporation will invest $115 million (approximately 1.47 trillion UZS) into Urgench International Airport, uz24.uz reported.

The company will manage the airport for 22 years, until 2047. Three of those years will be dedicated to construction and reconstruction.
The project will be jointly financed in equal shares by Incheon and KIND (Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation).
Uzbekistan will contribute $108 million (around 1.38 trillion UZS) to the project through funds from the Korea Development Bank, Export-Import Bank of Korea, and eurobond issuance.
