Family doctors in Uzbekistan to earn up to $1500
Uzbekistan will introduce a new system allowing family doctors to earn up to $1,500 per month, nova24.uz reported.

According to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, family doctors currently earn around $500 and nurses $300 per month. Those who obtain a qualification certificate will receive an additional payment equal to their current salary.

If they work with chronically ill patients, teach them how to manage their illness, and help citizens detect diseases such as cancer, diabetes, stroke, and heart attacks early to prevent serious complications, the doctor will receive an additional $500 and the nurse $300.

“We will create a system where a family doctor earns $1,500 per month and a nurse earns $600–800. This will raise not only salaries but also human value. However, results must match the pay,” said the president.

He also stressed that even a single case of stroke, heart attack, premature maternal or child death, or disability from chronic disease should be considered a national emergency.
