According to the Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan completed 74 trillion UZS worth of construction works in January–April 2025, UPL.uz reported. This is over 10 trillion UZS more than in the same period of 2024.
Of this amount, 51.6 trillion UZS was spent on buildings and structures, including residential and commercial facilities. Public projects such as schools and hospitals received 14.4 trillion UZS. Specialized works like engineering networks accounted for 7.9 trillion UZS.
The growth reflects increased investment in infrastructure, urban expansion, and demand for new housing. Construction companies are operating at full capacity, and new housing complexes, roads, and social buildings are emerging nationwide.
The construction sector plays a key role in the economy, creating jobs and stimulating related industries like building materials. In 2025, several large housing projects using eco-friendly materials were launched, marking a new trend in the sector.
