Uzbekistan to change how transport is evaluated
Uzbekistan has introduced a new system for evaluating the value of transport, nova24.uz reported.

According to the information, the Unified National Valuation Standard has been updated with a new section dedicated to vehicle valuation. Experts will now take into account repair costs, damage, and loss of market value when evaluating damaged cars.

Market value determination will exclude costs related to organizational sales activities. Data collection and market analysis will be carried out by a dedicated specialist — an appraiser.

The document outlines key sources of information:

• initial data provided by the client or authorized person
• data collected by the appraiser during inspection
• information from third parties, media, and the internet

Three valuation approaches are defined: comparative, income, and cost-based.

• The comparative approach relies on market data of similar objects with adjustments.
• The income approach calculates value based on future profits, dividing net operating income by the capitalization rate.
• The cost approach subtracts depreciation from full reproduction or replacement cost.
