Uzbekistan may buy 200 electric buses from China
Uzbekistan is considering the purchase of 200 electric buses from China, with further discussions underway to acquire an additional 1,000 buses. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport, according to Nova24.

During a meeting between Deputy Minister of Transport Ilhom Abdugafforov and a delegation led by the Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China, Chen Huaiyu, the parties discussed infrastructure reforms and transport upgrades to be supported through financing from the bank.

They also addressed funding for toll road projects on the Tashkent–Samarkand and Tashkent–Andijan routes, as well as the construction of a separate high-speed rail line connecting Tashkent and Samarkand.
Additionally, plans were reviewed to modernize public transport systems in Tashkent and other regions, including the acquisition of new buses. The sides discussed expediting the signing of a loan agreement for the 200 electric buses.
