
As of January 1, 2025, streets across Uzbekistan are illuminated by 700,200 lighting units. This was reported by the State Statistics Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to Upl.uz.
This figure reflects a 2.3% increase (15,800 units) compared to the same period last year, indicating ongoing development and modernization of urban infrastructure.
The most illuminated regions by number of lights are:
• Tashkent — 153,700 units
• Republic of Karakalpakstan — 66,600 units
• Fergana region — 65,700 units
• Namangan region — 52,900 units
• Andijan region — 52,500 units
