A storage facility for red caviar and fish products from Russia’s Khabarovsk region is planned to be built in Uzbekistan, reported Kursiv Media. The announcement was made by regional governor Dmitry Demeshin.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Demeshin and Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Botirjon Asadov. The warehouse is expected to boost fish imports to Uzbekistan and serve as a distribution hub for other Central Asian countries.
The parties also discussed the export of Uzbek fruits to the Khabarovsk region and broader humanitarian cooperation. Demeshin announced plans to launch direct flights between Khabarovsk and Samarkand. Currently, flights from Khabarovsk only go to Tashkent.
