
Uzbekistan will apply Egypt’s experience in potato cultivation, reported Nova24.uz.
According to EastFruit, a memorandum of understanding on seed potato production was signed between Egypt’s EFC Plants and Uzbekistan’s Agro Gold Premium. The signing took place during an agricultural business forum in Cairo, with participation from Kashkadarya entrepreneurs and leading Egyptian agri-industrial companies.
During the event, the Uzbek delegation studied Egypt’s agricultural experience, particularly in potato and sugar beet farming, to implement it in Uzbekistan for high-quality seed potato production and to attract investments into the agrarian sector.
Forum participants also exchanged knowledge in potato cultivation and sugar production, and discussed investment prospects in Uzbekistan’s agriculture.
