Uzbekistan's population approaches 38 million

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of July 1, 2025, Uzbekistan's population has reached 37.9 million people. This marks a continued upward trend in the country’s demographic growth.

Of the total population, 19.1 million are men and 18.8 million are women. The urban population stands at 19.3 million, while 18.6 million live in rural areas, highlighting the ongoing urbanization process.

Since the beginning of the year, 95,300 marriages have been officially registered. However, 23,300 divorces were also recorded, indicating a need for greater focus on family stability.

In terms of migration, 700 people moved to Uzbekistan, while 5,600 left the country — a clear sign of a negative migration balance.
