Uzbekistan has officially adopted a law titled “On Identification, Registration, and Monitoring of Animals.” This law sets clear rules for registering animals kept or bred by individuals and legal entities within the country.
According to the legislation, all animals must be identified and officially registered within specific time frames. The Committee for the Development of Veterinary and Livestock is designated as the authorized state body in this field.
The law defines the following registration deadlines:
– Cattle, sheep, goats, and camels: 14 days after birth
– Horses: 4 months after birth
– Pigs: 1 month after birth
– Dogs and cats: 3 months after birth
Additionally, animals must be registered no later than one month after these deadlines. Imported animals must be identified within 21 days of entering the country.
