Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov announced that the Wi-Fi service for passengers has been launched in the "Afrosiyob" trains. According to him, this service not only creates convenience for passengers but also helps make train journeys more efficient and interesting.
Shermatov also noted in his social media post that during a recent trip to Bukhara, he observed that many passengers were unaware of the launch of the Uztelecom Wi-Fi service. The minister added that he tested the service and watched informative videos on the YouTube platform, where useful books were explained.
The minister also stated that in order to implement the Wi-Fi service, additional equipment needed to be installed in high-speed trains. In the future, he hopes that new trains will be purchased with the necessary telecommunication equipment from the start.
He explained that in high-speed trains and carriages that use a lot of metal, there may be issues with receiving signals from outside, which is why appropriate devices should be installed in such trains.
