Uzbekistan’s Anti-Corruption Agency has revealed that a state procurement worth 6.8 billion soums (about $540,000) was carried out in violation of existing laws.
The tender, commissioned by «Uzbekistan Airports» JSC for the supply, installation, and launch of body cameras, was found to have multiple irregularities.
Investigations confirmed that bids were not fully and fairly evaluated, affiliated parties took part in the process, and numerous errors occurred during assessment. Based on the Agency’s submission, the procurement commission’s decisions were annulled, preventing the illegal contract.
