Stable 5G connection launched in Tashkent metro

Ucell, in partnership with Huawei, has completed one of the most complex infrastructure projects — providing stable mobile connectivity in Tashkent Metro. This is the first time in Central Asia that 5G is available at stations and 4.5G in tunnels.

Over 100 km of fiber optic lines and 150 km of cable were laid, and more than 200 transmitters were installed. This ensures consistent coverage even in the deepest and busiest parts of the underground.

Now passengers can make calls and stream videos at speeds up to 142 Mbps while on the move. These next-generation solutions bring metro commuting to a new technological level.
