The Ministry of Health urged caution against fake cosmetologists

The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan (SSV) reported an increase in complaints regarding harmful effects from cosmetic services. Women who sought treatment for facial imperfections have voiced their concerns on social media.

According to investigations, most negative outcomes arise from individuals working without licenses, while organizations with proper licensing do not face such issues.

Currently, 147 private medical organizations in Uzbekistan have a license to provide cosmetic services. The majority are located in Tashkent, with 94 licensed establishments. However, beauty salons and centers without medical status also offer these services, increasing the number of complaints.

Ulugbek Sabirov, Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology, pointed out that issues arise when non-qualified individuals practice cosmetology in unlicensed centers.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health has introduced the "Regulation on Providing Medical Cosmetic Services", which outlines requirements for state institutions and cosmetologist practitioners.
