The Main Department of Transport of the city of Tashkent officially answered questions from the public regarding the extension of bus routes in the capital to suburban areas.
It was reported that a number of practical measures have been implemented within the framework of the execution of the President's instruction to connect all districts and cities of the Tashkent region with the capital. In particular, relevant projects are currently being developed for new areas to be reorganized, including those covering the agglomeration area.
After approval of the documents developed for the routes, they will be announced in an open electronic tender in accordance with the established procedure. A special contract - a gross contract - is concluded with the winner of the tender for the provision of passenger transportation services on this route.
It is also planned to allocate additional vehicles so that the waiting time for buses does not increase due to the extension of routes. This ensures the stability and efficiency of transport services.
Currently, work is consistently continuing on resolving technical and organizational issues, ensuring traffic safety, and creating road infrastructure. Special engineering and design teams are studying the logistics of transport movement at each point of the agglomeration.
Within the framework of the capital's agglomeration, work is underway to form a unified transport system and its phased implementation. Through this system, convenient and safe transport services will be established not only in the city center, but also for residents of surrounding areas.
