Starting next year, order and safety will be monitored not only in the coastal part of the Charvak reservoir, but also directly in the water area. This was announced during a special press tour for the media and bloggers, a Sputnik Uzbek correspondent reports.
It is noted that the number of foreigners arriving in the country has been increasing dramatically in recent years. In particular, from January to July 2025, more than 7.4 million foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan. Among them, about 950 thousand people traveled for specific tourist purposes.
The tourism police also carried out a number of important tasks during this period:
- ensured the security of 257 international delegations;
- Practical assistance was provided to more than 67.7 thousand tourists in various areas, mainly in terms of guidance and medical issues.
In addition, transport security units have achieved significant results in their activities. In particular, 10 crimes were solved, 70 missing persons were identified and found, and 405 dangerous items were confiscated.
