Significant changes are being implemented in the system of establishing disability in our country. Previously, due to the lack of unified standards in this process, the absence of digitalization, and the priority of the human factor, various errors were observed in determining disability. Even patients with the same disease were assigned different groups.
In order to eliminate such problems, the state is implementing the information system "Unified National Social Protection." Through this system, based on the patient's medical data, the disability group, its duration, the need for care, a rehabilitation tool, or a prosthetic device are determined automatically, without human intervention.
The new electronic system will be piloted in Tashkent and Navoi region by October 1, 2025. Later, it will be implemented throughout the republic.
In addition, a list of the main diseases will be approved, and disability will be determined based on comprehensive and standard criteria for diseases included in this list.
