Construction of a logistics terminal will begin in Tashkent

According to information from the Dubai government’s press service, the UAE’s DP World company and Uzbekistan-based Tashkent Invest company have signed an agreement to build a logistics terminal in Tashkent, Kursiv.media reported.

The amount of investment attracted for the project is estimated at 288 million dollars (approximately 3.57 trillion soums). The terminal will be located in the "Yangi Avlod" industrial zone of Yangihayot district.

For this purpose, a joint venture will be established. In it, Tashkent Invest — a company affiliated with the city administration — will own a 15% stake, while the remaining part will belong to the UAE company.

DP World head Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem emphasized that this partnership expresses commitment to developing Uzbekistan as a logistics and trade center in Central Asia.

The multimodal logistics terminal in Tashkent will provide the region with world-class infrastructure and smart logistics opportunities.

The terminal will include a dry port, customs control zones, and warehouses. In the first stage of the project, construction of a 63,000 sq.m railway terminal and warehouses is planned to be completed by the end of 2026–2027.
