
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the USA on a working visit in November. As part of the visit, he will participate in the C5+1 summit with the participation of US President Donald Trump.
The meeting will take place on November 6 in Washington. The summit is planned to be attended by the heads of the Central Asian states - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
In preparation for this event, the US Special Representative for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau arrived in Tashkent. After discussing issues of regional cooperation, they headed to Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also expressed gratitude for Donald Trump's proposal. At the same time, new initiatives in the areas of economic partnership, security, and trade are expected to be discussed at the summit.
Recall that Shavkat Mirziyoyev also held a short meeting with Donald Trump in September of this year. This time, negotiations are expected to serve to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
