New appointments have been made to the presidential advisors

A number of important personnel changes have been implemented by the President of Uzbekistan, reports president.uz. According to the presidential decree, Ravshan Gulyamov has been appointed Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Regional Development.

In this regard, he was relieved of his post as presidential advisor on economic policy. It is noted that the new appointment was carried out within the framework of the country's policy aimed at accelerating the socio-economic development of the regions, improving the investment climate, and making the local governance system more effective.

Ravshan Gulyamov was born in 1968. He graduated from Tashkent State University in 1992 and the Australian National University in 1998. As a specialist with many years of experience in the economic sphere, he held various responsible positions in the country's financial and economic system.

His career began in 1992-2004 in the Central Bank system. Later, in 2009, he worked as First Deputy Minister of Finance, and a year later, he was appointed Minister of Economy.

In 2017-2018, he headed the State Committee for Assistance to Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition. Later, he headed the Department of Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting under the Cabinet of Ministers.

In 2019, Ravshan Gulyamov worked as the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry. In the same year, he was appointed State Advisor to the President on Economic Development, Investment and Foreign Trade Policy. Throughout his career, he has focused on macroeconomic policy, the financial and banking system, competition policy, investment, and foreign trade.

By presidential decree, a number of other job changes were also implemented. In particular, Obid Khakimov was appointed Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Economic Policy. Before his appointment, he worked as Deputy Advisor to the President - Director of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms.

Also, Aziz Magrupov was appointed Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Regional Development. Until today, he worked as the head of state's representative for foreign investments.

These appointments are aimed at strengthening the system of public administration, strengthening cooperation in the areas of regional and economic policy, and further expanding the possibility of prompt and effective adoption of strategic decisions.

These changes in the Presidential Administration once again demonstrated that economic reforms are being gradually elevated to a new level, and special attention is being paid to regional development in state policy.
