The use of solar energy is expanding among the population of Uzbekistan. According to the Ministry of Energy, in January-September 2025, more than 35 thousand citizens received subsidies in the amount of 153.6 billion soums within the framework of the "Sunny Home" program.
Funds allocated from the state budget are directed to incentivize individuals who have transferred electricity generated by solar panels to a unified system.
Regional leaders:
Khorezm region - 42.6 billion soums;
Republic of Karakalpakstan - 22.4 billion soums;
Bukhara region - 15.3 billion soums.
Citizens can transfer the subsidy directly to their bank card through the "Sunny House" window in the "Cashback and Benefits" section of the "Tax" mobile application.
For information, the program has been in effect since April 1, 2023. Within its framework, a subsidy of 1000 soums will be established for each kilowatt-hour of energy generated through solar panels and transmitted to a single power grid.
