This status guarantees the authenticity and quality of "Sofi Oshi," distinguishing it from similar dishes prepared in other regions. Most importantly, this decision will serve to preserve Bukhara's rich gastronomic heritage and promote it internationally.

According to experts, registration as a geographical indication also creates great opportunities for local chefs, restaurants, and the tourism industry. Now the name "Sofi oshi" will be legally protected only as an original dish characteristic of Bukhara.
