A large tourist zone with an area of 2,396 hectares will be opened in Fergana

The next big step is being taken in the Fergana region, which will transform tourism from a "simply walk" into a real economic project. By presidential decree, the "Fergana" tourist and recreational zone, covering a total area of 2,396 hectares, will be created.
According to the decision, the tourist zone will be established for a period of 30 years, with the possibility of extending this period in the future. This means: the project is not a one-season "sensation," but a long-term strategy.
The most interesting part is the plans to bring the "Vodil" raspberry agrotourism cluster in the Fergana district to the level of a tourist attraction. For this purpose, infrastructure will be created, potential entrepreneurs will be attracted, and service points of lightweight construction will be organized on the territory of raspberry orchards (plantations). That is, in the future, a person who goes to Vodil can switch to a format of meaningful recreation and service, not "I took a picture and came back."
Another direction: in 2026-2027, it is planned to create jobs by establishing tourist services around the Central Fergana Reservoir in the Yaz'yavan district. If service, recreation, and travel services enter this region, both local employment and domestic tourism can accelerate significantly.
It is also planned to strengthen agritourism services by increasing raspberry plantations, building refrigerators and deep processing workshops based on foreign experience in the "Sanoat" and "Hosilot" mahallas of the Fergana district. In short: not only the arrival of a tourist, but also the chain of product storage and processing.
