New Tashkent: territory equal to two Parisians, a record fountain, and the first migrations

The New Tashkent project will be comparable in size to the largest cities in the world. This was announced by Pavel Zolotaryov, Director of Business Consulting Group, at an international conference dedicated to the construction industry. According to him, the total area of New Tashkent will be equal to Manhattan in New York or two Paris cities.

Zolotaryov also noted that eight more new cities, such as New Tashkent, are planned to be built in the Central Asian region. Their construction will be completed in 10-20 years.

The construction of one of the world's highest fountains is also planned in New Tashkent. The 232-meter-high fountain will be commissioned in August of this year.

Construction of the city is progressing rapidly, and the first groups of residents may move to the new city in December 2026. At the initial stage, those in difficult life situations and employees of state institutions will be accommodated, says Azizbek Omonov, a representative of the "New Tashkent" directorate.
