In which region is the cheapest and most expensive pilaf?

The National Statistics Committee calculated the cost of preparing 1 kilogram of plov in the regions of Uzbekistan for February 2026. According to the data, the cost of preparing pilaf varies by region, and in some regions it is relatively cheaper, while in others it is more expensive.

According to calculations, the cheapest plov is in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and its cost is 98,927 soums. It was also valued at 105,337 soums in the Syrdarya region and 106,984 soums in the Andijan region.

The highest value was recorded in Tashkent - 118,381 soums. It is also reported that in Fergana region it is about 116,256 soums, in Samarkand region 114,383 soums, and in Tashkent region 113,602 soums.

The calculation also takes into account the main products necessary for the preparation of plov. Including 0.3 liters of sunflower oil, 300 grams of onions, 700 grams of beef, 1 kilogram of carrots, 1 kilogram of rice, 100 grams of chickpeas, 10 grams of cumin, and 20 grams of salt.

At the same time, experts emphasize that these figures do not mean the market price of ready-made plov. Because in cafeterias, the cost of preparing and the cost of services are included in the price of pilaf.
