The inspector who caught drug couriers was given the rank of major in Tashkent

Captain Laziz Abdukarimov, a prevention inspector who stopped drug couriers' activities in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent, was awarded the rank of major ahead of schedule for his service bravery. This was reported by the Public Security Department.
The incident occurred as part of the "Safe and Healthy Country" month and operational-preventive measures aimed at ensuring a safe environment in the regions. On March 13, the prevention inspector of the "Khirmontepa" mahalla, Laziz Abdukarimov, stopped two suspicious individuals on the street.
The suspects tried to escape, disobeying the officer's lawful demand, but the prevention inspector caught one of them. During the inspection, 295 units of pregabalin, packed in 59 zip packages, were found in the bag next to him.
During the operational investigation, it was established that the detained person hid medicines in several locations in the area and marked them by geolocation. Also, the suspect's accomplice was detained in the Shaykhantakhur district, and 35 potent capsules prepared for distribution were found near him.
Taking into account the courage and decisive actions of Captain Laziz Abdukarimov in a difficult situation, by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, he was prematurely awarded the rank of Major.
