On the occasion of Ramadan Hayit, Uzbekistan supported the Afghan people with humanitarian aid

Today, March 18, humanitarian aid was delivered on behalf of Uzbekistan to support the brotherly people of Afghanistan. This initiative was implemented on the occasion of Ramadan Hayit and was aimed at further strengthening the good-neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries.

The humanitarian cargo, with a total weight of more than 290 tons, consisted of flour, rice, wheat, vegetable oil, instant food products, pasta, confectionery, and other types of food products. The official cargo handover ceremony took place in Hairatan.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Governor of Balkh Province, Mavlavi Abu Idris, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Balkh regional branch, and representatives of the Hairatan city administration expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, for his continued support of the Afghan people. The event was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmanov, and the khokim of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Kasimov.
