A high-speed bus system will be introduced from Nurafshon to Tashkent

In order to establish a high-speed bus service from the city of Nurafshan to the Bektemir district of Tashkent, it is planned to introduce the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. This is stated in the decision of the Tashkent Regional Council of People's Deputies, adopted on March 24.
In accordance with the resolution, it is planned to create a modern express bus system through the reconstruction of the Tashkent-Nurafshan highway. The Road Committee has been designated as the initiator of this project.
It is reported that special lanes will be allocated for high-speed buses in the middle part of the road. It is also planned to build 9 modern, indoor, and climate-controlled stations, with an average distance of 2.9 kilometers between them.

The total cost of the project is estimated at 119 million 642.7 thousand US dollars. It is financed by international financial institutions and the state budget.
At the same time, the Agency "Avtoyo'linvest" will act as the customer for this project. According to the plan, this transport system is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2028.
