"Green" technical schools will develop environmental personnel training

Based on the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan No. PP-110 dated March 25, 2026, a set of measures was established to intensify environmental education, science and social propaganda in the country within the framework of the national project "Eco-culture". The goal is to expand the system of training qualified personnel for nature conservation and sustainable development in all regions of the republic.

In accordance with the resolution, it is planned to establish 14 "green" technical schools in each region of the republic in 2026-2027. These educational institutions will train qualified and modern specialists based on the environmental, social and economic needs of the regions. This will serve to increase the professional knowledge and practical skills of young people and adapt them to modern requirements.

Also, by 2030, the country's environmental education system will be further developed by training a total of 10,000 middle-level personnel in these technical schools and a reserve of professional personnel will be created in the field of environmental protection.

Another important direction of the resolution is the task of increasing the number of specialists with scientific degrees in the field of ecology, nature protection and climate change to 150 in 2026-2028. These measures also provide for the involvement of young scientists and specialists in scientific activities.

Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, some educational institutions will be reorganized as "green" technical schools. In order to strengthen their material and technical base and improve the quality of education, these technical schools will be integrated into the Central Asian University for Environmental and Climate Change Studies in cooperation with the Vocational Education Agency. This will strengthen the connection with higher education institutions and ensure the integration of knowledge and practice.

Thus, the project of "green" technical schools will activate the environmental education system in Uzbekistan, create a reserve of qualified personnel, and prepare a solid foundation for sustainable environmental protection in the future.
