The Uzbekistan passport has risen again in the Henley ranking

The Uzbekistan passport continues to strengthen its position in the global ranking. According to the updated 2026 data of the “Henley Passport Index”, Uzbekistan has climbed to 74th place, and its citizens can now travel visa-free to 59 countries.
Gradual improvement of passport ranking
According to the data, in 2023 the country was ranked 85th, in 2024–2025 it rose to 80th place. Now it has improved by another 6 positions and reached 74th place. Over the last 2.5 years, the total growth has been 11 positions, showing a positive trend.
Situation in Central Asia
Among regional countries, Kazakhstan holds a stronger position, offering visa-free access to 78 countries. Kyrgyzstan shares the 73–74th place with Uzbekistan.
Citizens of Tajikistan can travel visa-free to 53 countries and rank 79th, while Turkmenistan holds 87th place with 45 countries.
Russia and neighboring countries
Russia ranks 44th with 113 destinations, Belarus is 58th, and Azerbaijan is 66th with 67 countries.
Global leaders
Singapore ranks first, offering visa-free access to 192 countries. Japan and South Korea are also in the top three, with access to 187 countries without a visa.
The list of leading countries also includes UAE, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, and Italy.
Bottom of the ranking
The lowest-ranked passport is Afghanistan, with access to only 24 visa-free countries. It is followed by Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, North Korea, Nepal, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Sri Lanka, and Palestine.
