Shavkat Mirziyoyev puts forward important proposals at the EAEU summit

Today, in the neighboring country of Kazakhstan, specifically in the city of Astana, not far from our capital Tashkent, a major event took place that was at the center of attention of the international political and economic world — the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. At this prestigious summit, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated as the head of an observer state and delivered a speech to the leaders of the member countries of the organization.
In his speech, the head of our state noted that for Uzbekistan, consistently expanding practical and productive cooperation with EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) member countries remains "one of the most priority and important directions in our country's foreign economic policy." According to the Presidential Press Service, our country's partnership with the states of this union has risen to the level of systematic and complex economic cooperation, not just simple relations. The volume of trade turnover between the two sides is growing rapidly, industrial cooperation is reaching a new stage, transport-logistics chains are being strengthened, and promising projects are being formed in the fields of digital technologies, energy, and services.
We present to you, our dear readers, the details of the 5 most important initiatives proposed by the leader of our country to strengthen regional and international economic relations, as well as plans for the near future.
Plans for the near future: "Roadmap" and a new project office
It is reported that a special meeting of the Joint Working Group is scheduled for this autumn to implement a new comprehensive cooperation plan between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
In addition, an important "roadmap" aimed at mutual coordination and approximation of technical regulation systems in the sector was officially approved. Most encouragingly, the representative office (office) of the Eurasian Development Bank has started its activities in our capital, Tashkent, and a portfolio of specific economic projects has already been successfully formed.
5 priority directions defined by the leader of Uzbekistan
From the podium of the international summit, the head of our state outlined five most important and priority areas that will take the partnership between the EAEU and Uzbekistan to a completely new level. These proposals are of great importance not only for states but also for the lives of ordinary entrepreneurs and citizens.
Order | Proposed priority directions and their true essence |
Direction 1 | Unified digital trade space: Developing e-commerce without any barriers, establishing digital data exchange in customs, phytosanitary, and veterinary control systems, and mutual recognition of electronic documents. |
Direction 2 | Deepening industrial cooperation: Supporting technological partnerships of business representatives. The sixth "INNOPROM. Central Asia" exhibition held in Tashkent served as a great foundation for this. Uzbekistan is ready to establish a joint project office operating on a "single window" system and provide additional benefits to high-tech residents. |
Direction 3 | "Green" transformation program: Increasing energy efficiency, implementing clean ecological technologies, and reducing the carbon footprint of manufactured products. This factor will ensure the competitiveness of our products in the world market in the future. |
Direction 4 | Digital revolution in labor migration: Interconnecting national electronic employment services. This will create a unified digital environment where citizens can receive full information about safe job vacancies and labor legislation. The risk of informal employment will decrease, and the protection of workers' rights will be strengthened. |
Direction 5 | "Central Asian Tourist Ring": Jointly promoting a new tourist route on popular digital platforms to revitalize the tourism sector and increase the flow of tourists. |
Important conclusion: In the conclusion of his speech, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again firmly confirmed that the Uzbek side is committed to comprehensively developing mutually beneficial and comprehensive practical cooperation with the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and will mobilize all its strength and energy in this direction.
May these international initiatives and reforms that serve to increase the economic power of our country lead to victory! Continue to follow our page, dear compatriots!
