A US Navy plane crashed into San Diego Bay on February 12, Fox News reported.

The crash occurred near North Island Air Force Base. There were two people on board the plane. They were rescued by a fishing boat. The pilots are currently in the hospital. They were rescued by representatives of the fishing company H&M Landing, who said that the plane had a "mechanical malfunction."

At approximately 10:15 a.m., both pilots ejected from their planes due to mechanical failure. The plane crashed into the bay a few seconds later. The nearby Premier ship quickly responded to the situation, the company said in a statement.
According to a Navy spokesman, it is not yet clear whether a distress signal was sent before the crash. The wreckage of the aircraft remains in the water.

The EA-18G Growler is a tactical attack aircraft equipped with electronic equipment. It provides electronic defense to the US armed forces and its allies around the world. The cost of this aircraft is approximately $ 67 million.
