Trump imposes 10% tariffs on Uzbek imports to the US

US President Donald Trump has introduced tariffs on imports from 185 countries, including Uzbekistan, nova24.uz reported, citing the Associated Press.

According to Trump, the US tariffs will be roughly half the rate that other countries impose on foreign goods. For example, tariffs on EU products will be 20%, on Chinese goods — 34%, and on imports from the UK and Ukraine — 10%. Russia is not on the list.

The tariffs for Central Asian countries are as follows:

Kazakhstan — 27%
Uzbekistan — 10%
Turkmenistan — 10%
Kyrgyzstan — 10%
Tajikistan — 10%

Starting April 5, a minimum base customs duty of 10% will apply across the board. In addition, from April 3, a 25% tariff is now in effect on imported vehicles, and by May 3, it will also apply to auto parts not manufactured in the US. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
