
The United States will not ease sanctions against Russia or enter into bilateral agreements until the war in Ukraine ends, State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said on April 15.
“There will be no negotiations or agreements until this massacre stops,” Bruce told reporters.
He noted that Russia’s missile attack on Sumy (which killed 35 people) made it clear who wants peace and who doesn’t. Bruce called the war “a meat grinder where nothing changes.”
According to the WSJ, people close to Trump in the United States — Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg — have urged Trump not to trust Putin’s “diplomatic intentions.”
