KFC and Pizza Hut shut down in Turkey

Popular American fast-food chain KFC has shut down all of its restaurants in Turkey,.
This comes after its Turkish franchise holder, İş Gıda A.Ş., filed for bankruptcy with a debt of 7.7 billion Turkish liras (about $214 million).
A total of 283 KFC outlets and 254 Pizza Hut branches have been closed, leaving nearly 7,000 employees jobless. Sales plummeted due to Gaza-related boycotts and financial mismanagement.
KFC had been operating in Turkey since 1989.
