In California, a homeless man who had been living on the streets for years suddenly found his fortune. He bought a lottery ticket at a local store called Sandyʼs Deli Liquor and won a $1 million prize. This was reported by “Rules of Life” citing Los Angeles Times.
His name is unknown, but his luck is real
The winner’s full name hasn’t been disclosed, but he is a regular customer at Sandyʼs Deli Liquor. The store’s manager, Wilson Samaan, describes him as sincere, trustworthy, and honest. According to Samaan, the man had lived on the streets of San Luis Obispo for many years.
At one point, Samaan even offered him a job, but the man had to decline due to a knee condition.
"Bro, you hit the jackpot!"
The lucky winner discovered his prize just last week. As usual, he visited the store, scratched off the protective layer on the ticket, and couldn’t believe his eyes.

“At first, he thought he had won $100,000. But I looked at the ticket and said, ‘Bro, you hit the jackpot!’” Samaan recalled.
Samaan took the winner to the California Lottery office, where the ticket was officially verified. According to statistics, the odds of winning such a jackpot are one in 2,047,423.
"This money changed my life"
The story quickly went viral and caught the attention of the press. In an interview with LA Times, the man said:
“My life has completely changed. I plan to buy a small house and a car. The rest I want to invest for the future.”
According to California Lottery representatives, the process of confirming and receiving the winnings may take several weeks or up to two or three months.
