Indian Army's invasion of Pakistan is inevitable - Defense Minister makes a sharp statement

Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said in an interview with Reuters that the invasion of Pakistani territory by Indian troops is now certain and inevitable.

“We have further strengthened our military forces because the Indian attack is certain and it is now impossible to prevent it. In such conditions, it will be necessary to take important decisions of a strategic nature. These decisions have already been taken,” the minister said in his interview.

According to Khawaja Asif, in recent days, India has been making very sharp and alarming statements against Pakistan. The Pakistani army has informed the country's government about the expected attack by India. The minister also stated that the Pakistani government is in constant contact with major countries such as China, the Persian Gulf countries, the United States and Great Britain.

However, the defense minister did not give specific reasons why the Indian invasion was inevitable. He also did not specify whether the potential attack would be full-scale or limited.

Meanwhile, relations between India and Pakistan have been seriously strained. This was caused by a terrible terrorist attack in the city of Pahalgam in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. Armed terrorists killed 26 people in a popular tourist area. A terrorist group operating in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack.

The Indian government also holds Pakistan partly responsible for this attack. After these events, the Indian government completely closed the border with Pakistan and asked Pakistani citizens to leave the country.

Both countries are nuclear-armed states. The Pakistani defense minister stressed that nuclear weapons would only be used "in the event of a direct threat to the existence of our country."

The international community is watching with concern that the escalation of relations between India and Pakistan could pose a serious threat to regional and global security.
