The traditional Victory Parade will take place in the Russian capital Moscow on May 9, 2025. The Kremlin has announced the names of 29 countries expected to participate in this year's parade. Among them are Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Palestine, which are partially recognized in the world. This was announced by Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president.

According to reports, the countries invited to the parade include the Central Asian countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Also participating are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Venezuela, Brazil, China, Cuba, Egypt, Mongolia, Myanmar, Laos, Serbia, Slovakia, Congo, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Eritrea.

The main parade on Russia's Red Square will feature the military forces of 13 countries. They are:

- Kazakhstan,
- Kyrgyzstan,
- Tajikistan,
- Turkmenistan,
- Belarus,
- Azerbaijan,
- Vietnam,
- China,
- Mongolia,
- Egypt,
- Laos,
- Myanmar.

According to Yuri Ushakov, India, South Africa and Nicaragua will participate with representatives "at a relatively high level". According to the Kremlin, the heads of major international organizations such as the SCO, CIS, EAEU, CSTO, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, African Union have also been invited to the parade.

In addition, the parade is planned to be attended by the ambassadors of the United States and North Korea, the heads of the allied states of Russia and Belarus, the president of the New Development Bank, and the defense ministers of 34 countries.

In this parade, which will showcase Russian military equipment and modern weapons, along with the Russian army, military personnel of friendly countries will also march on Red Square. This format is seen by the Kremlin as a symbol of military cooperation and geopolitical support.
