At least nine people suspected of spying for Pakistan have been arrested in special operations by security forces in Indian territories. According to NDTV, those arrested include bloggers, students, businessmen and security personnel from various professions.
Notable names: blogger, student and security guard
Jyoti Malhotra is a travel blogger who has been reported to have visited Pakistan twice and had contacts with officials there.
Davendra Singh Dhillon is a political science student. He was arrested on May 12 after he shared photos of himself with weapons on social media.
Nauman Ilahi is a security guard who was found to have passed classified information to Pakistani officials and received money as a reward in the name of his relatives.

Arman and Tarif are suspected of espionage. Arman was arrested on May 16, while Tarif was caught two days later while trying to delete the chats.
Shahzad, a businessman, provided national security information to the watchdog.
Muhammad Murtaza Ali is suspected of collecting information for Pakistani intelligence services through special mobile applications.
Ghazala and Yamin Muhammad have not yet been charged.
Security measures tightened in the wake of the conflict
The arrests come at a time when the Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan has intensified. On April 22, 26 tourists were killed in an attack by Pakistani militants in Jammu and Kashmir, after which India launched Operation Sindoor.
On May 18, the two countries reached an agreement on a ceasefire. However, as tensions in the region have not subsided, counter-espionage operations are believed to be ongoing.
