Statistics of Newborns in the World and Uzbekistan in 2024

In 2024, a total of 132,405,927 babies were born worldwide. Of them, 33,716,680 were boys, and 28,672,818 were girls. The highest number of births was recorded in India, with 23 million newborns.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, a total of 926,400 babies were born in 2024. This figure is 3.7% lower compared to 962,000in 2023. From January to April, 142,400 were boys and 132,100 were girls, meaning there were 10,300 more boys than girls.
