The retirement age has been increased in Denmark: now you can retire at 70!

Also among those who criticized this law are trade unions. They emphasize that this decision will be burdensome for the majority of the population. Especially for representatives of sectors engaged in heavy physical labor, this retirement age may become a huge hardship that requires long-term work.

However, supporters of this reform emphasize that such a decision is necessary to ensure the future economic stability of the country. They emphasize that as the average life expectancy of the country's population increases, there is no other solution than to raise the retirement age in order to maintain the financial balance of the pension system. Life expectancy in Denmark is currently one of the highest in Europe, indicating that the country's population has the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
